Lyreco focuses on Sustainable Development initiatives

LYRECO LAUNCHES SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT WEBSITE:

Worldwide office stationery supplier, Lyreco, has launched a website exclusively about the company’s Sustainable Development initiatives.

eco.lyreco.com.au allows users to track the progress of Lyreco’s Sustainable Development program, learn about areas of focus across each country, and view awards and certifications surrounding Sustainable Development. The website showcases practical elements of our initiatives and actions, especially the Environmental, Social and Economic impacts.

Australian Quality, Security and Environment manager Mona Hariz says, “Australia is increasingly focussed on conducting business in an environmentally sustainable manner. We aim to increase awareness amongst our customers and stakeholders of sustainability issues and solutions.”

Hariz continues, “Lyreco is concentrating on these issues at a global level. I’m pleased to say that we’ve had some success and recognition overseas and we’re looking to replicate that performance here. Visitors to Lyreco’s Sustainable Development website will increasingly discover and appreciate what we do on a daily basis to safeguard the long-term future of our environment, society and business.”

The Lyreco Sustainable Development Website will be available in different languages so each country can speak at a local level and provide relevant information to local interested parties.

To complement the Sustainable Development program, Lyreco has created a specific “Eco Identity” including a logo and strapline. All communication on Lyreco’s Sustainable Development actions will be identified with this specific logo. The strapline is: Together for a sustainable future.
